Introduction

The Kevin Betts Stadium Upgrade and Extension is a transformative project aimed at expanding access, capacity, and inclusivity for disability sport and community recreation in Western Sydney.

Managed by Wheelchair Sports NSW and home to a variety of community organisations, including the City of Blacktown Basketball Association, the stadium is a vital facility that has long served as a hub for inclusive sport. However, with the existing two-court stadium at full capacity, there was a pressing need to enhance its facilities to accommodate growing participation and future programs.

The project, currently under construction, is a landmark investment in inclusive sport and recreation, ensuring that Kevin Betts Stadium remains a leading venue for wheelchair basketball, adaptive sports, and community engagement. Once complete, the facility will be a nationally recognised centre for disability sport, allowing more individuals to participate, compete, and thrive in an accessible and state-of-the-art environment.
