  • Construction on BaptistCare’s Red Hill site for the Yarra Rossa Retirement Village is progressing very well.  Building Approval was granted late in April for the main construction works for all of the buildings in the village – Montague, Nadgee, Morton, Bomaderry, Conjola & Brindabella.

Richard Crookes Constructions have been progressing at a rapid pace with site-wide early works. The site has undergone significant transformation since the demolition of the old nursing home – the extensive excavation highlighting the challenging topography across the site. Basement foundations are now in place; basement slabs, columns, and walls are underway, and forming up of the first suspended slabs are also underway.

The project has not been without its environmental challenges either – summer bushfires, torrential downpours, and supply line issues due to Covid-19 are some of the hurdles the team has faced thus far.

We look forward to providing the next construction update on this exciting project, as the buildings begin to take shape.
