Located at the Southwestern Sydney suburb of Miller, this recently completed Senior Housing development is comprised of twelve 1 & 2 bedroom units. This was part of a pilot program by the Land and Housing Corporation designed to raise the standards of social housing aesthetics
Due to the sloping site, the design approach was to have two mirrored buildings surrounding a central resident parking area. A palette of different materials and mixture of colours have been utilised that provide an interesting feature to the modern façade. The privacy screens installed to the balconies echo the decorative blades applied in the surrounding building envelope. This project also provides free hot water for all tenants as part of the Essential Solar Hot Water System program developed by The Land and Housing Corporation.
