Stanton Dahl’s design for Warinna Village was the third stage of development in the Anglican Retirement Villages’ Castle Hill site. This stage of development provided 36 new independent living units, comprising of 2 and 3 bedroom townhouses and villas.
During the design development process, it was ensured that all townhouses and villas would be adaptable and accessible to enable the choice for residents to ‘age in place’. Design to empower choice and flexibility for senior residents is one of the core aims of our Aged Care segment.
Designing additional units in an existing development required careful consideration of the village’s existing character and a response that connects the new work with existing facilities. The design approach was to create individual homes with individual character and dedicated outdoor landscaped areas for each home while applying an architectural style that was in keeping with the original village.
